Mlb.com had an article and poll on this topic. The 3 options were, add the dh in nl (28%), eliminate dh in al (52%) , exclue the pitcher from the batting order only using 8 hitters (18%). I suppose an argument could be made that only people opposed to the dh in the nl would read that article but 72% of people polled didnt want the dh in the nl. If there was an option to leave the rules alone I believe that would get the majority vote. Imo this is a players union deal. It takes 15 guys who are making league minimum as utility, defensive or marginal power bats and replaces them with guys who will make the pay of an everyday player.
