If Freese is playing, that probably means Kang isn't so it's about a wash because that guy killed us too.

At least Alvarez is finally gone

Re: Spring Training Crap

Wacha's having command issues, but he's not getting hit hard. And it's not like the Cardinals brought the varsity to back him up.

Walden throws an easy 1-2-3 inning.

Re: Spring Training Crap

And now the guys who don't have their names on their jerseys are coming into the game.

Re: Spring Training Crap

I'm guessing Wacha is already on I-95 headed back to Jupiter.

Do the Cardinals play Baltimore this season?

Re: Spring Training Crap

Couple of nice defensive plays by Diaz. Scherzer made him look silly at the plate, though.

Re: Spring Training Crap

WTG, Ben Revere. Never seen a guy swing and miss and get hit by a pitch in the back shoulder before.

Oh, it's Space COAST Stadium. I thought Bob Carpenter was calling it Space GHOST Stadium. Really, one of the more overrated superheroes.

Re: Spring Training Crap

Tommy Pham just left with a sprained lip or something. This guy could get hurt looking at one of his own x-rays.

Re: Spring Training Crap

Cardinals have two guys wearing #91 in the game at the same time. In college football, that's a 15-yard penalty.

Danny Espinosa strikes out. He's ready for opening day

Polo pitches around an error and a hit.

Re: Spring Training Crap

What started as an overcast day is now a sunny one, forcing Dusty to remove all his white players from the game.

Re: Spring Training Crap

I wasn't able to find anything about Pham being hurt.

The Pirates have announced that Liriano is their opening day starter. I wonder if we see:

1. Carpenter
2. Piscotty
3. Holliday, 1B
4. Grichuk
5. Gyorko
6. Pham
7. Molina
8. Diaz/Guy Cardinals Trade For

"I wasn't able to find anything about Pham being hurt."

He stole second base, and when he slid in headfirst, his helmet came off, bounced off the base and ricocheted back into his face. He was probably coming out of the game anyway, but they weren't taking any chances. Some of that dirt could have gotten into a wound, if there was one, and caused a nasty infection.

Doesn't really strike fear into the opposition, does it?

It showed up on the P-D later last night. Hummel apparently didn't think it warranted mentioning until someone must've been like, "hey, maybe we should make note of this since this guy is always hurt." I wish Hummel would retire already.

Looks like Leake has been great today against the Twins.
