Never a good sign when you give up 12 runs on opening day.

One-run game and a lot of empty seats in the great baseball city of Cincinnati.

Reds win. Everyone in Cincinnazi can go back to grousing about Vontaze Burfict's unfair suspension.

Peter Bourjos 0-for-4. He's still swinging at and missing sliders off the plate.

Kershaw is dominating the Padres.

Fernando Salas hitting 93. Did he ever do that in St. Louis?

Tim Kurkjian is going to run down to the Cubs' dugout in between innings and start humping Joe Maddon's leg.

Nice debut for Greinke. How long before that ballpark causes his "anxiety" to flare?

I watched four innings of that Cubs/Angels game before having to go to bed. What a disaster. I love Kurkijian, but the desperation last night was aggravating. In the second or third inning, he said something about how bad the outfield defense was last year, then began to analyze it by talking about how Dexter Fowler is back.

I can't remember if that was before or after he compared Soler to Roberto Clemente and then said there wasn't any room for him in the Cubs' lineup.
