They are fundamentally poor and play atrocious defense. I think the offense can still be good, but they don't have the same team from 2013-2015 that could win one-run, low-scoring affairs. They've never had much range, but they still made all the necessary plays. This team can't do it. They have five first baseman, two right fielders and a bunch of spare parts.

 
Idk where I was reading it at, probably VEB since thats the only place that actually write thoughtful articles.   But they said that when peralta came back they could put him at third and carp at first if diaz proves as an everyday ss.  I would agree that a defensive shift could benifit this team.  However id put peralta at third.  Carp is a below average third baseman.  Id put carp at second and keep a moss holliday combo at first.  Wong and adams can go as far as im concerned.
