I don't watch the games that closely, so maybe this has been mentioned, but a stat I noticed earlier this morning. In 59 plate appearances (now 61) Diaz only has 3 strikeouts. That's pretty remarkable

After his homer tonight, one of the coaches came up to him in the dugout and started chatting with him. What advice do you give to a guy who is hitting .475? Eat more vegetables?

Didn't even think about that, but you're probably right. Although after he called out Garcia the other day for burning up the bullpen (pot meet kettle), so who knows.

It was advanced beyond his years. I can't believe he made contact with the 2-2 pitch. Then he resisted two pitches that would've tied up other rookies.
