Well, their misguided belief in Matt Adams is going to have to be addressed one way or another in the next few weeks. And they also think Seth Maness watching video is going to fix things. I think a guy who has allowed a .320/.350/.460 line over the last calendar year needs to do more than watch video.

I've secretly loathed Maness since he coughed up that homer to Jonny Freakin' Gomes in Game 4 of the 2013 World Series. There are certain offenses for which one can never be fully forgiven.

I've secretly loathed Maness since he coughed up that homer to Jonny Freakin' Gomes in Game 4 of the 2013 World Series. There are certain offenses for which one can never be fully forgiven.
That was about the same time I got fed up with him as well.

He's also a whiny little piss bag. In 2014, he got off to a really rough start and Brian Stull grilled him about it. I'm paraphrasing, but this is basically how it went:
STULL: Any thoughts on why you've been struggling?
MANESS: I didn't know I've been struggling.
STULL: Seems like there's been some rough outings lately.
MANESS: Really? OK.
STULL: Do you feel your off at all?
MANESS: Nope.
STULL: Mike said he thinks your leaving too many pitches up.
MANESS: Really? OK.
Granted, that was one interview after a tough loss, but don't be a shithead to a reporter who is asking you in the nicest way possible what's gone wrong.
