Re: 5/4 GC

Could also be eight games out on May 4. That would be a nice little hole.

Re: 5/4 GC

I don't think Leake is going to finish out his contract as a Cardinal.

10-4 this team blows.  Idk how you make the phillys look like a decent team.

Yeah, I took him for granted. Out of:

Moss, Adams, Jaime, Wong, Gyorko, Peralta and Broxton, who is the most likely to be shipped out if the Cards are 10+ games out of the 2nd wild card on July 31?

I say Moss, Broxton and Wong are the most probable. I would be shorting Grichuk like he's a subprime mortgage.

Re: 5/4 GC

Id trade almost anyone on this team...almost.  wong and adams are imo most tradable.  Moss is pretty easy to trade if he is hitting and unless he is able to grab a comp pick, which i doubt.  I wouldnt mine seeing peralta traded if the cards are rebuilding.  Honestly, carp, molina, piscotty and diaz are the only position players id rule out of a trade.

I'm going to follow your lead and not tune in to Leake's next start until he's been taken out of the game.

IF it comes to that, I think the Cards hang on to all their cost-controlled guys, which means all the non-Waino pitchers. I think the guy that would get the biggest return is Rosenthal.

Idk if biggest return is important.  Guys like grichuk might hold little advantage in keeping.

You have to drink past the point of caring.  Its a will power thing.

Re: 5/4 GC

Danny Mac makes a good point on the international signing period: Cards need to splurge their asses off.

And get more Korean relievers.
