I took a closer look at Pujols' numbers earlier today because I remember from my fantasy team that he had a rough 2nd half. This is scary.
Since June 23, 2005
Pujols (age "36") 97 for 477, .204 avg., 23 HR, 66 RBI
Mark McGwire 2001 (age 37) 56 for 299, .187 avg. 29 HR, 64 RBI

The McGwire comparison has merit. You obviously weren't able to watch the Angels broadcast last night, but Mark Gubicza, even though he was a pitcher, did an effective job of analyzing Albert's at bats. It was his contention Albert is opening his hips too much and he can't get much power behind anything he swings at anywhere but the inner third.
Left unsaid was why his swing is so messed up. It would seem to be a fairly simple adjustment for a first ballot Hall of Fame hitter. Or his legs won't allow him to adjust - which was McGuire's downfall.

They're just taunting St. Louis with that Rams Fan Shop ad behind the plate.

Well, when you get a franchise that hasn't had a winning season since 2003 and just spent a boatload of picks on a guy with a 14-23 record in college, you gotta get your digs in.

Four is a nice number.

Russell was likely stoned through the entirety of his college career and he nearly won as many games in 2006 as Goff won in his entire career.
What the fuck was Adams staring at?

Shane Robinson used to be the team's best right-handed hitter off the bench.

I hope LA enjoys the Rams as much as they're enjoying Pujols

I wonder if Garcia has ever retired the next hitter after someone behind him has committed an error.

Yet another mistake on the bases.

Story time with Schumaker and Edmonds has been great. Poor Bo Hart.

That's a huge double play right there.

Are you only getting the Angele feed? Schumaker joined the booth and Edmonds said there was a player who showed up late to spring training one day, so Edmonds said he emptied that player's locker and moved Skip's stuff in. Edmonds was coy about who it was, but Skip remembered and blurted out Bo Hart's name. Edmonds hinted at Hart feeling entitled because hit .400 in a month.

I'm getting the Angels announcers. They're not bad, but they keep referring to Kole Calhoun by his first name only, which I find really annoying.

How does his voice come off on television? I've always thought he sounds like a gay guy trying to imitate a Valley Girl.
