Wainwright vs. A Karate Kicking Little Bitch
Also, Mozeliak was on Bernie's show today and I think there's a possibility Wong gets demoted when Peralta returns. Sounds like Carpenter is moving to second base.

Interesting, but tough to argue the team isn't better with Peralta, Diaz and Carpenter rather than 2 of those 3 plus Wong.

I agree, Fors. I think we'll see Carpenter playing second when there's a righty and first when there's a lefty. Mozeliak said he's open to playing on the right side and Peralta is fine being at third.

"A Karate Kicking Little Bitch"
Will he show up? Or will there be another last minute scratch due to an unspecified injury? Or will he have to fly to the DR to attend to a "family emergency" that's never explained later?

They might as well just cut him or try to trade him then. There's no way his fragile psyche survives a demotion to the minor leagues at this stage of his career.

They definitely won't cut him, but if there's a trade candidate, he should be at the top of the list.

I know. He's the type of player who needs to be told he's going to be the starting second baseman, period. Whether he deserves to be the starting second baseman is a different duscussion, but I'm afraid they've dicked around with him to the point he's never going to fulfill his potential. At least in St. Louis. He's probably better off playing in Miami or Atlanta or Tampa or someplace where he won't pout because he thinks everyone will be up his ass if he goes 0-for-4 two days in a row, makes an error or gets picked off first base.

I dunno, they gave him the job right off the bat last year and he responded pretty well in the first half, then tanked in the second. I don't know what the solution is, but I know they need to find somewhere else for him to play.

I don't know if I've ever disliked a player more than Johnny Cueto.

A few of the most frustrating Cardinals to watch at the moment:
Rosenthal
Grichuk
Wong
Moss
Hazelbaker
Molina ( batting)
I have lightened up on SP for the moment

I saw that article on the post dispatch. Perfect imo, thats my prefered solution. Offensively, if Peralta is himself, i think the cards will be much better. Defensively i think they will be slightly better. It is up to mo to get the pitching side some help and make a push.

I think carp is a better second baseman then third baseman. And i hope that putting peralta and carp beside diaz makes him better.

Adams is trending right now. Hopefully it keeps up and the cards can sell him high. Maybe ship wong to memphis and raise his value slightly. Its bottomed out but those are the two id trade.
