Was that what he was suspended for? Sheesh. How dumb can you be?
Im anti legalize it but the dumb part is that it isnt even a suspension if you test positive in the majors, just the minors.

I think the blood stopped flowing to Matheny's brain about two hours ago.

I just turned it on in time to see Oh get out of the 8th. Was this an afternoon game with a 6 hour rain delay? Why are there only 37 people at the game?

I don't give Votto anything to hit for the rest of this series.

I don't even know where to start describing what's gone on so far in this game.

I'm glad I'm not a Cardinals beat writer because I don't know if I'd ever begin to describe what the hell happened tonight. Somehow, Jonathan Broxton has become the team's setup man(?) and oh my god Oh batted for himself with the bases loaded.
Matheny has to be on thin ice. He just has to.

I was in favor of oh batting. The bullpen is weak and they didnt have a decent pinch hitter anyway.

I think matheny is getting an advantage in contrast to how stubborn tlr was. Matheny may be a bone head but he doesnt challenge the front office for not making the team as competitive as it can.

That was a long half inning, and I think you have to take your shot at busting the game open.

He never should have been in that position. I know Wainwright put him in a bad position when he only went five innings, but then he brings in Duke to face three righties in four batters? WTF? Did he think he'd have to return Duke to the White Sox if he didn't use him right away? TK is right. This guy's synapses misfire way too often.

I didn't understand going to Duke in the sixth, period. I just can't follow his line of thinking.

And I don't even want to get into starting a corner outfielder in center, which cost them the Reds' first run, or yanking Holliday and Peralta when you almost always need offense in this ballpark, or playing the outfield two steps from the warning track in the ninth inning.
This was the most poorly-managed major league baseball game I've ever watched. I'm not being hyperbolic. This was Matheny's Chernobyl.

What is the likelyhood that moss and holiday, i guess jamie to, are the sort of free agents that net the Cardinals a comp pick?

ESPN with a nice job of dissecting Matheny's ineffective management of last night's game. Love the headline.
