Saints are going to lose to the worst playoff team in NFL history.

Re: The Playoffs

That rush by Lynch was one for the ages.  Safe to say our grandchildren will be watching that one.

Great stiff arm.  Now I hope the Colts can knock off the mighty NY Jets.

Under the circumstances, one of the best runs I've ever seen. The only thing close that comes to mind was Marcus Allen in the Super Bowl. That stiff arm was awesome.

Re: The Playoffs

What a kick?  Great opening day so far.  As long as the Colts hold on that is.

Fuck the Jets jut returned it with a few first downs of FG range.  With 2 timeout none the less.

Re: The Playoffs

If you are the Colts why would you call a time out on defense with 30 seconds left in the game and the Jets facing a 50 yard FG.  All they did was let the Jets find the play they wanted.

Also credit Hasselbeck and one other Seahawk for not clipping that last guy who had a chance.  I saw Hasselbeck's hand go up on the guy's shoulder, but then he wisely pulled it back.

I know exactly what you're talking about. I remember seeing it during the replay and having flashbacks to one of my son's game where we had a TD called back because a lineman blocked a kid in the back 30 yards behind the play.

Re: The Playoffs

Ugh. That's usually the worst call in football.

Re: The Playoffs

Next week's AFC games:

New York J v. New England

Baltimore v. Pittsburgh

Wonder if Vegas will issue a line on personal fouls.

Re: The Playoffs

Cassel threw for 70 yards.  That sucks.

Re: The Playoffs

Week 2 of the Playoffs

Patriots v. Jets--The Dark Lord v. The Elastic Stomach.  Mark Sanchez continues in his quest to join Trent Dilfer and a host of others as the worst QBs ever to win a Super Bowl.

Ravens v. Steelers--Ray "Slasher" Lewis v. Ben Rapeliesberger.  So many players to hate, so little time.

Falcons v. Packers--The one game I'm actually looking forward to watching

Seahawks v. Bears--Seattle continues in its quest to reach .500.

I have little doubt that the Seahawks shot their wad on Saturday.  I really have to hope that the winner of Falcons/Packers makes it to the Super Bowl.  I just can't root for anything Chicago, and there is no way I can root for any of those AFC teams.

Re: The Playoffs

Shouldn't Rex Ryan's nickname have something to do with feet?

Re: The Playoffs

Good point Tk, but my brain intentionally shuts out anything that involves Rex Ryan's sex life and I forgot.

Re: The Playoffs

Aaron Rodgers is on fire . 27 of 31 going in to the 4th quarter .

Re: The Playoffs

Lookin' like the Bears will have their hands full, assuming they can get by Seahawks.

21-0.  I didn't care for that missed opportunity on the last drive, one bad block by Hester and they lose about 1/4 of the field and a chance to score again, but are you sure that the Bears won't be able to handle the Packers?

Re: The Playoffs

I expect Bears/Packers to be very entertaining.

Re: The Playoffs

I actually need a bit of help here.  As the FF league shows, I probably know less about what is going on in the NFL than anyone else here.

I have a colleague who is a monster Packer's fan.  There's a realistic possibility that he and I make it interesting.  Money won't change hands, for sure, but I need some expert advice as to whether I should up anything valuable.  The problem that I see today is that Cutler, like many Bear QBs is very inconsistent.
