Re: The Playoffs

Taking the Bears won't be a crazy pick. The Bears will be at home and have a better running game than the Packers. Rodgers is a better QB and the Packers have better receivers, but a cold, windy Chicago day can neutralize that a bit.

I do expect it to be a very good game between 2 teams who have already played each other twice (I think the road team won both games) and really don't like each other.

I wouldn't be shocked if the Bears are favored to win.

Re: The Playoffs

The Bears didnt really get tested today.  The real Seahawks showed up today.  It will be a hell of a game.  The Stellers/Ravens game was one of the better football games of the year.

Re: The Playoffs

I hope the second half comeback the Seahawks put on was just a lack of concentration by the Bears D.  But for the Bears' 4th quarter TD, to bring their total to 35, the Seahawks almost, and implausibly, made a game of it.

I don't like Rex Ryan, but it may be a while before I stop laughing at the looks on Brady and Belicheat's faces.

Re: The Playoffs

I dislike both team but I really hate the Patriots.  They seemed like they were just coasting through the game as if they were ahead.  Their 4th quarter drive was very time consuming.

Re: The Playoffs

I was wrong. Green Bay opened a 3 1/2 point favorite.

I would guess that some of that is no one has been able to cool off Rodgers .

Re: The Playoffs

I wasn't following it, but from what I understand the Bears were able to shut down Michael Vick when he was one of the hottest QBs in the league.  What concerns me is when a QB can make lightening reads of the defense, and has the skills to exploit what he sees.  I haven't watched Rodgers, so don't know what kind of QB he is.

Re: The Playoffs

They have split the regular season . Not holding Rodgers on a pedestal, but it appears that he has been capable of picking up what the defenses are going to do . (preparation by coaches?), who knows, getting hot at the right time ? (maybe) . Ability to escape a hard rush from the defense ? Is a given in the 2 playoff games . Maybe the Bears have something no one has seen this year from the defense . We'll see . ESPN analyst's say he has performed the best in the playoffs thus far , I haven't seen anything to dispute that . Maybe Cutler will get in his 2 cents as for as that line of thinking goes .

Re: The Playoffs

I would like to see some old school Packers/Bears slobberknocking, blood dripping from the forehead football . In the snow , mud, etc . Maybe even a brawl, throw in some ejections , fines, etc .

He doesnt do anything wrong but he isnt flashy.  I would like to see the Packers throw alot of WR screens the offset their lack of RB.
