CB Bucknor already making his incompetent presence felt.

I just said to my son "Here comes a two-run homer."

Please get him out of the game.

I bet Triggs is a lot of fun to catch.

Why isn't Wong in the lineup against this guy?

Good grief.

The good news is Garcia's pitch count is so high he's not going to be in the game much longer.

I can't watch this man pitch anymore.

Just as I predicted Friday night. This team can't win at home.

From Hochman:
"In the losing clubhouse, Jaime kept talking about 'three bad pitches' — the second double and the two home runs — and it did get me thinking about the start overall. Are the five runs in the first three innings somehow 'less worse' because they happened on just three pitches? Is that a silver lining? Or are there no linings and no 'silvers' when you finish second in a baseball game?
"I’m worried about Garcia. He’s allowed seven homers in his past three games. His next start is on the road, where opponents hit .310 against him. And how about this stat, tweeted by local radio host Kevin Wheeler: 'Here are the Cardinals starters in the last 50 years with 25-plus starts but fewer than 10 quality starts: Jaime Garcia (2016) and Cement-head (2007). That’s it. That’s the list.'"

This isn't about "three bad pitches." It's about his inability to handle any sort of adversity. As soon Valencia reached on that cheap infield single, he started dancing around the mound, pawing at the dirt, playing with the rosin bag and looking as scared as a sheep that's about to be shorn.
The wild throws to first are a telling sign of a pitcher who utterly lacks confidence. You have concerns about stuff like that in a 25-year-old pitcher, but Garcia is a 30-year-old man who has started nearly 150 major league games.
I understand $12 million is cheap for a left-handed starting pitcher, especially one whose stuff is as dominant as Garcia's can be. But it's clear he's never going to get it. Oh, he'll toss a gem every fifth or sixth start to remind you of his potential, but he's never, ever to be relied upon.

The way weaver and reyes looked im not sure garcia and wacha are best fit for the rotation. Im not in favor of not piccking up garcias option tho. They can get something for him.
