With this team it is almost a catch 22 with the gaints. Cards dont seem to play well on the west coast but they dont play well in st louis either. My scoreboard watching is more to do with the mets. If they make it to the playoffs ill just let the crapshoot begin

The 4-game series out there next weekend portends disaster, but the Giants have been reeling. They're 17-31 since the AS break. Cueto has won once in his last 10 starts. Posey hasn't hit a home run since July 16. Pence is playing on one leg, and his slash line since he came back is .236/.350/.637. Casilla's ERA the past month is 5.63 and he seems to be on fumes, like the rest of the team. About the only thing they have going for them is a favorable schedule.
I'm predicting now the WC game is going to be between the Mets and the Cardinals, probably in New York.

If the Cardinals make it into the playoffs, but have the better record of the two wild card teams can they decline home field?

Maybe they can pick their home field. Like play it in Cincinnati or something.
