Move him to the pen then.  They need a closer and late inning pitchers as much or more then a starter.  Im on board with tk.  And it seems like this news has been coming for some time.

Im also not really in on the reyes hype just yet.  The hoopla has been very cubbie like.  Ill hold my judgement till he sits down some mlb bats.

I don't disagree with you, but long-term it significantly diminishes Wacha's value.  He hits arbitration next season. If he's nothing more than a bullpen arm the team probably sticks with him 2 more years before they let him go.  Fortunately, the team didn't sign him to a long-term deal.

I think I remember reading when this problem with Wacha's shoulder surfaced two years ago that moving him to the bullpen is problematic because the inflammation gets worse the more frequently he throws.
I doubt we ever see the 2013 Wacha again.
