How much are we paying Moss to hit .261 with 25 HRs? 8.25 Million? That seems like a steal right now.
I know we're maybe taking it on the chin with a few dudes that just aren't coming through with much (Wainright, Leake coming to mind), but we can't be a very expensive offense collectively and there's a ton of power production for what we're not paying...

Grichuk 520K
Moss 8.25M
Carpenter 6.25M
Gyorko 4 M
Piscotty 512K
I'm just saying, the amount of production we're getting out of 20 million dollars there is kind of scary.

Not to mention decent defense and great positional flexibility.

To retain that group for 2017 it will cost over double that amount.

It's not as bad as you might think. Next season salaries
Carpenter- $10M
Gyorko- $6M
Grichuk- $530K
Piscotty- $520K
Moss will probably get $12-15M. So, that same group would cost about $30M. That's not bad

Interesting article. Id disagree with the idea that moss will not get a QO. Im of the opinion that there is no such thing as a bad one year deal. The Cardinals would likely be over paying him but would have no long term risk. Also imo it might help the cards resign him at a lower cost. QO attachment decrease value.

I agree. The only reason they wouldn't make a QO is if they don't want him back and would be worried he'd accept. Assuming they want him back, there's absolutely no reason not to tender him.

The article and many like it seem so wrong that i wonder where many writers get their info. I follow the team daily, id assume anyone who does would see this as a misstatement.
