Faking a tag so a guy slides when he doesn't have to isn't "universal baseball chicanery." It's bush. Santangelo is correct. In fact, the classy move it to tell an opposing runner to stand up if he's clearly going to beat the throw.
And the Nats had every right to retaliate. I'm getting a little sick of Sean Rodriguez and the Pirates coming out of the dugout every time they think they've been wronged, especially when they're the instigators. And under Clint Hurdle, they usually are.

Well it's The Cardinals last stand . MM is either General Custer or General Patton . I'd like to see him show some fire and stick up for his players . Or find a manager who will .
Penciling in Moss every game in the top of the lineup is insane . What is he ? 6 for his last 80 ? Hoping he'll hit the big HR . LaRussa would not have put up with Cardinals getting hit by opposing pitchers without retaliation . He would have been ejected over plate umps calling two sided zones.
Cut out all the lollygagging shit in the dugout and just play the damn game and play hard injuries or not .
Shit or get off the pot - see 2017

I dont have a problem with the fake tag. The rules allow a coach to stand at third base for a reason.
