Carlos is cooking. Id be tempted to send him back out but probably wouldnt.
The cards cant expect to get this sort of pitching every night. They have to figure out how to manufacture runs.

OK, I realize I shouldn't let things like this bother me, but ESPN and it's never-ending social justice warrior agenda rustles my jimmies to no end. Do I seriously have to listen to some female softball player do color commentary on opening night? WTF, Caitlyn Jenner wasn't available? Jesus Christ, can't we just leave some things alone.
You'd rather have Curt Schilling and John Kruk regaling tales of the 1993 Phillies?
Yes, I'd prefer someone who has actually played the game of baseball working as the expert analyst of a baseball game. Crazy idea.
Like TK says, she's been around long enough that I don't even notice she's a woman anymore. She does research, she speaks in coherent English and she doesn't make it all about her, which puts her ahead of 90 percent of the idiots I have to listen to on the regional broadcasts.

I'd pay good money to hear Aaron Boone ask her to go make him a sandwich.

She's married (to a man) and has kids. Her only shortcoming appears to be that she went to Stanford.

Funny you should mention that. The last year Kruk was doing games, they had this recurring spot where someone from concessions would bring him up the ballpark's signature culinary offering about the fifth inning. In Chicago, it was a Chicago dog, in Philly it was a cheese steak, etc.,usually on the sloppy side. Kruk would spend the half-inning devouring it, usually while Boone looked on in absolute horror.

It's a shame the Cardinals didn't go out and sign a left hander to get out hitters like Schwarber.

Not that anyone cares about my opinion, but I would fine and suspend anyone who can't wear their hat straight.

I agree on that

The next time someone tells you anyone can play first base, refer them to the top of the 9th inning of tonight's game.

It's OK, he worked a 6 pitch at bat before popping out, so his WAR probably went up .1
