This would be a top of the league caliber line up if they had a real cleanup hitter. Molina got the job done this time but i dont think that any person they put in that position is going to strike fear in pitchers. With fowler, diaz and carp at the top of the line up it would be nice to have an rbi guy in the 4th spot. I think ultimately piscotty is the best fit and will end up their at the season progresses.

Lynnteresting how he was able to get through that situation.
It sure would be nice to have 4 and 5 hitters who can do a little damage rather than just settle for sac flies.

He should be there today. The only reason he's not is because Matheny is letting spring training stats dictate lineup decisions rather than looking at the bigger picture.

Beat you to it. If you could put pressure on pitchers to get the top three out, with their bat control they woukd be dangerous. Piscotty isnt a clean up hitter but he is as close as you get on this team.

Matheny did not put his team in the best position to win this game at the start. If Piscotty was fine to play, he should have been starting. This isn't freaking little league.

The distressing thing is the Cubs have gotten nothing out of their best player in this series and are still going to win it.
