Lynn vs. Nova
I'm probably going to end up watching the Bruins instead of more bad baseball.

First baseman Matt Carpenter was hit on his throwing hand by a grounder in Sunday night's game and will sit tonight because of a swollen finger. Jose Martinez will replace him at first base. Yadier Molina, who caught the weekend series in New York, will rest tonight and be replaced by Eric Fryer
1. Fowler CF
2. Diaz SS
3. Martinez 1B
4. Piscotty RF
5. Grichuk LF
6. Garcia 3B
7. Fryer C
8. Wong 2B
9. Lynn P

When this team is eight games out of the wild card race on July 31, I hope Lynn and Rosenthal are pitching as well as they did tonight. There are going to be desperate teams looking for arms and the Cardinals could make serious hay.

I agree, and if Oh can recover to last years form it would be even better.
Martinez has to play untill he cools. This team isnt hitting and he is. Not that difficult of a decision. Also im not sure what defensive gains they are making with wong at second. I wouldnt be scared to move carp there and put gyorko at third. The sooner wong, peralta and adams are out of the lineup, the sooner this team doesnt suck.

If you're referring to the roughing penalty on Nash in overtime, I didn't think it needed to be called. Then again, don't take a swipe at another guy while the referee is looking right at you, and you won't have to worry about whether or not said referee is going to make a call.

I would keep sending out last night's lineup for about a week or so, until the rest of them get the message.
"Not that difficult of a decision."
You're forgetting who the manager is.

If you're going to call it, then also call Ryan for the elbow to the head after he lost his stick and was otherwise out of the play. No way Ottawa should end up on the power play after that sequence.
