When the epitaph of the 2017 Cardinals is written, that they somehow managed to lose a game whilst allowing only three hits in 13 innings will be somewhere in the third paragraph.
I knew it was over when Hernandez's foul tip conked the plate umpire in the noggin. You could see Broxton lose his concentration immediately.

Reasons im frustrated
1. This team is competitive on paper. The standings dont scream of the lact of attention this team has got. The central sucking had bailed Moz out so far.
2. We continue to see peralta and broxton walk onto the field when there are minor league players of equal or greater quality.
3. The bonehead baserunning is condoned by the lack of acknowledgement. This goes for poor fielding errors like molinas throw last night. These type of erros have cost the cardinals a handful of games this year.
4. Owership continues to miss out on splash signings. I understand the conservative thing to do is spend wisely. However i think you have to give fans a reason to get excited. The army of minor league with .750ops cielings isnt exciting. Its a slow burn.
5. This club deserves to fail instead of barely survive. You cant root for your team to fail but 2 years of painful baseball without a change of direction is mind numbing.

Peralta has actually looked pretty good since he's been back. Which makes me wonder what the hell they were medicating him with at the beginning of the season.

MLBN was reporting they see the cardinals as suitors for manny machado. Cant wait for this offseasons second place finish.

Not sure what MLBN was talking about, but Machado isn't a free agent until after the 2018 season.
