Re: 5/30 we f-ing suck gc

Interesting the strike zone got wider once the Dodgers went up by four runs.

If the bullpen, defense and offense improve.

Re: 5/30 we f-ing suck gc

Pujols going for 600 home runs in a ballpark that has plenty of empty seats.

Re: 5/30 we f-ing suck gc

Speaking of attendance, busch has been empty.  I wonder what the numbers are doing.  Id think not selling tickets would scare dewitt into action.

McLaughlin said on Monday the Cardinals have already sold three million tickets, and are on pace for 3.4 million for this season. But you're right. The ballpark seems to be close to filled during weekends, but on weekdays I've seen more empty seats this season than I can remember since they moved into Busch III.

Those empty seats don't spend much money at the concessions stands do they ?

And they don't have to pay for the parking spot they don't use. It's OK. DeWitt is a marketing genius. He'll figure out something, like when they sold the urinals from the old ballpark. Anyone interested in buying "game-used" chewing tobacco, or a lock of Carlos Martinez's fake hair?

Probably more important than the concession stands, the bodies that are supposed to be in those seats won't be spending any money before or after games at Ballpark Village.

The other concern that no one is talking about it whether Moz really has the ability to assemble a roster that can win.  The organization has garnered a lot of praise, but looking at it a bit more closely, has it really done that well in terms of developing real talent?  Since Molina, they haven't developed a true star position player.  (IMO, Carpenter doesn't fit that label).  They've developed some players who serve as role players, and now we have a lineup of role players. They've missed windows of opportunity to move some players when they had value.  Is Moz really a good GM or has he simply been right place, right time?  I'm not so sure.

Re: 5/30 we f-ing suck gc

I dont think you can do it all one way.  Meaning, develop vs buy throught free agency.  The club has proven they can fill the field with capable mlb players, just not stars.  Thry have to go find some stars or this is all they will get.
