Maybe it's me being the eternal optimist I am, but I like the Cardinals' chances today. Both games. Lynn gets it done this afternoon against a guy making his major league debut, and my man Marco Polo makes a triumphant return tonight as the lineup pounds Jimmy Nelson, who the Cardinals own.
Then again, they might suck and drop both games ...

Lynn's fastball must have some movement on it today .

Martinez ran into one with that big swing ..

Time for the Cardinals vaunted bullpen to step up ...

Brebbia gets the first shot ....

They really needed more than five innings from Lynn.

Brebbia' 1,2,3 probably supplanted a Lynn 6th successfully.

They would be smart to get gonzo and weaver in the rotation. Put wacha in the pen and trade lynn.

I don't care if that's Usain Bolt running from third to home, a major league baseball player should be able to throw the ball 60 feet without bouncing it.

Does Matheny even have a steal sign?

McLaughlin and McCarver can stop talking about the fucking Yankees any old time now.

To paraphrase Danny Ozark: The Cardinals' limitations are limitless.

Did Cecil just throw a 1-2-3 inning??? Someone notify the Hall of Fame!

You'd think Matheny would take out Cecil after his first scoreless inning since the 12th of Never, but not our Jeenyus ...

This is probably the opportunity to win this game.

Is that Sammy Hagar pitching for the Brewers?
