I have no idea which teams are going to make it, but one that won't is the one that got creamed at home today by the Raiders. And their stupid fucktard fans are pathetic.

LOL
Put me down for Saints-Patriots.

Steelers-packers....did the packers make it? i guess i should check that first

They made it.

New England/Seattle
Does anyone else think Charlie Whitehurst fashioned his look after the gay pirate logo on the Buccaneers' old helmets?

I doubt that either of these teams will make it, but I'll go Ravens/Falcons

The Ravens will be a tough out. Any team that plays defense as well as they do is going to be a tough out.
Atlanta plays pretty good defense, too. Strange how little favorable discussion there's been about the Bears, though. Maybe it's because of how inept they looked on offense yesterday, but they've got a pretty good D, and will be playing at home after a week off.
The Stealers couldn't have asked for a more favorable situation - three games in a row at home, 10 days off before an easy trip to Cleveland, and then a week off before a home playoff game. If I didn't know better, I'd swear there was someone in the league office who is pulling for them.

Oh, and one other thing about the Stealers. I don't know who was doing the color commentary for their game yesterday, but he commented about how "fresh" the Stealers looked.
That'll happen when you don't have to travel for more than 150 miles for an entire month, and you get to play an entire season on your side of the Mississippi River.

If nothing else, the AFC playoff teams have guaranteed that I'll have a team to root against when the Super Bowl rolls around. This year's team feature:
Dark Lord Belicheat and Brady's hair
Ben Rapeliesberger
Peyton Manning and his binky brigade
The Chiefs (ick)
Rex Ryan and his stapled stomach
Ray Lewis and the accessories to murder
God bless the NFL

I gotta go with New Orleans // New England here.

OK, we're roughly 48 hours away from the big game. Kudos to AP for picking the teams. Time to post your predictions for the game.
I'll go Steelers 27, Green Bay 24.
Offline
Steelers 34 packers 27
I see high scoring game here that will feature the defenses scoring some point. Steelers should win because of a better running game.

I'll second that.
I'm pickin' . . . Da Bearsss!
(I know they're not in it, but true fans know they'll find a way to pull it out)

I will buck the trend to some degree using the Gauge anomaly, dousing the effect of quantum mechanics that invalidates the gauge symmetry of a quantum field theory and pick the Packers by 2 .

I think I've heard of that. Is it the one that goes like this:
E [(M/X)(3.1415)+K(1/M)(1/X)/n!] = Packers by 2?

Super bowl was okay. I never felt like the Steelers were ever really in the game. Big Ben played one of the worst games I have ever seen him play.

Agree, looked like a real nailbiter was in the making on the last Steeler drive, but Rodgers was the better QB on this day .

I thought it could be an epic drive but it was like the rest of the game. Very close to being interesting.

Oh and how is Chris Carter not in the football hall of fame?
Offline
Jerome Bettis, RB, Rams/Steelers
Tim Brown, WR, Raiders/Bucs
Chris Carter, WR, Eagles/Vikings/Dolphins
Dermontti Dawson, C, Steelers
Richard Dent, DE, Bears/49ers/Colts/Eagles
Chris Dolman, DE/LB, Vikings/Falcons/49ers
Marshall Faulk, RB, Colts/Rams
Charles Haley, DE/LB, 49ers/Cowboys
Chris Hanburger, LB, Redskins
Cortez Kennedy, DT, Seahawks
Curtis Martin, RB, Patriots/Jets
Andre Reed, WR, Bills/Redskins
Les Richter, LB, Rams
Willie Roaf, T, Saints/Chiefs
Ed Sabol- Founder, President, Chairman of NFL Films
Deion Sanders, CB/KR/PR, Falcons/49ers/Cowboys/Redskins/Ravens
Shannon Sharpe, TE, Broncos/Ravens
Carter and Roaf would have been easier choices for me , than Sanders from the nominees list .
