Matheny had a decision to make on Waino or pen, pen bailed him out except for the high drama of Rosenthal .
When will a Rosenthal ever become a pitcher ? He's still just a thrower , spring training hasn't helped him one bit .

I have to say that those were the most consistently bad calls against one team that I can ever recall. It's not that the pitches were that far out of the zone like some calls we've seen from Phil Cuzzi and some others.. It's that he was off on every part of the plate and almost always against the Dbacks.

It's rough when you're pleased that your closer's ERA for the night is 9.00.
