Eye opening to a degree. Here are my thoughts.

1. Molina must be drinking the same water wong drinks. Hey molina, you do look tired. You look tired half the time. Your defense is slowed. You cant throw runners out like you used to. The worst part is you act like you havent lost a step, or 10.

2. Matheny is the pussy we all thought he is. Tlr took exception to rolen expecting to be in the lineup when tlr thought it best he not be. Rolen was traded. This issue has loomed before molinas contract extension. The front office has already placed molina above matheny. I disagree with thar chain of command. I wouldnt have beat around the bush. Id have said it like it is. Molina catches to much and will be recieving regular days off. He is making 20 mill a year, get over it.

3. Molina may not be the grateful mentor of kelly that we all hoped. This isnt matheny vs molina as much as it is molina vs his own ego.

4. This off season was the worst off season in recent cardinals history. Molinas contract extension, fowlers contract,, ceicls contract, mathenys extension. Idk how you clean that mess up.

I think I've got it.  Idk = I don't know.  Right?

If it hasn't become clear before now, I agree with somewhere around 90%.  But I'm not ready to fire Matheny, though I would like to see them replace Mabes, whom I like very much.

I would add that I really think there is a real problem with Molina's forming a clique among the Latin players.  From what i've read about him, Marmol is more than capable of handling that role.  I noted in one game this past week Molina taking a very soft slide into an opposing player who happened to be Latin (or Hispanic) when a hard slide might well have dislodged the ball.  Instead, Molina came up patting him on the back.

It seemed pretty clear to me that Molina was playing with a lot more energy in his first game after shooting his mouth off.  The following day he played a bit more lackadaisical at times.  Then he came out today playing about as good as I've seen him all season.  If that's what it takes to get the best out him, so be it.

Maybe that's the way the Chinese or the Bostonians see it but the folks I dine with are only interested in showing off their motor skills.
