Lynn vs. Castillo

At least it took them 13 pitches before they fell behind tonight.

Who are the Avett Brothers?

I will say this. If i had to get a quality start or my nuts get fed to lions id pick lynn

I don't think there's any scenario where I'd wager my nuts getting fed to lions.

Well in the scenario i envision you have to pick a cardinals starter to pitch a quality start or your nuts get fed to a lion. It isnt a option not to take the bet. You must partake.

Thank goodness Sierra is back in the minor leagues.

When you're talking about my nuts being fed to a lion, I'm bending the rules as much as possible.
I'm just listening to the radio, but can someone explain how Voit can score on a wild pitch and Carpenter not advance from 2nd to 3rd.

I think I'd pick what's behind door number three.

I'm going to give him an admittedly generous benefit of the doubt and say the umpires may have missed that one. He was standing on third while they reviewed whether Voit beat the tag and they sent him back to second. Maybe they just assumed he's so slow he wouldn't have made it to third even though the play was at the plate.

Think of it this way, How can a runner score from third on a wild pitch and the runner on second not advance to third? Answer: The runner is Carpenter.

My daughter, Madison, knows enough to know that if you're on 2nd and the runner on 3rd goes home, you advance to 3rd. She's 14. She's also probably faster than Carpenter.

So the Reds have their fastest guy at the top of the order? What a novel idea.

I realize OBP is the currency of the baseball realm, but consider this. Carpenter has three walks and been HBP tonight. He hasn't scored. He's really done nothing to help the team win. But the Sabre guys are going to look at the numbers tomorrow and declare he had a great game.

I'll make one slight correction to the previous post and allow Carpenter did see a lot of pitches tonight and maybe that got the starting pitcher out of the game earlier than he otherwise would have. But it's not like Don Gullet started for the Reds tonight.

At least he didnt sabotage the game. Thats a stat that doesnt show up

I would have left Lyons in for the ninth. He was throwing wiffle balls up there tonight.

At 14 she is probably at a peek moment in her life as far as female hormonals controling her moods...still carp probably has her best in that category as well.
