Trevor Rosenthal is at the airport and flying back to St. Louis for additional medical tests. I'm told #STLCards roster move "likely" today. -----Langosch

Wouldn't it be great if somehow he could wind up playing for Dusty Baker?

With Wainwright pitching tonight, let's hope it's someone who is pretty well rested. Come to think of it, maybe I should have said, "Since it's not going to be Lynn pitching, let's hope it's someone who is pretty well rested."
Mike Mayers is the obvious choice even though I don't know if he's well-rested.

Medical tests for what? To determine if he has a pair of testicles? I'll save you time. He doesn't.

I believe that's a violation of the eighth amendment, but I'm not sure for whom.

Latest word, according to DG, is that Weaver is scheduled to be the man.
Weaver last pitched on Aug. 12. So he should be rested for whatever role they choose. I'd rather see him replaching Leake in the rotation but I guess they have too much invested to go that direction.

This team went on a run because they played solid badeball (scoring from 3rd on a hit and such). Their starting pitching has been sliding for awhile. Leake and waino are gassed. Tonight would have been a good time for weaver to make a spot start and/or usage of the 10 day dl for the two pitchers i mentioned.
