Moz Speaks

Colby ain't going nowhere.

Anticipates an incremental increase in payroll (whatever that means)

Hopes for an early answer from TLR regarding next season

Re: Moz Speaks

95-105 range means about what it is now or was a few years ago.

I am gald to see him down play the Rasmus deal.  If TLR leaves I think Rasmus chances of being a Cardinals long term increase.

I thought they signed him to an extension this year.

Re: Moz Speaks

""A lot of times players, out of frustration or for whatever reason, may go into a meeting and come out saying some things they may regret," Mozeliak said. "But a lot of times, you have to understand, these things never get out there. In this particular case, it's been festering for a while. But I can assure you, Colby's not going to be traded. I can also assure you that some of the things he's dealing with are typical growing pains that young players go through. When I look at the talent he brings to the table, and when I think about how I could replace that, I realize that would be a very difficult task ahead.""

Yes, it's nice to hear Moz play this down, but this is the stuff Rasmus should have hired a Press agent to tell HIM to say.  Between our little group, this kid has prima donna written all over him.

I have to say Max is right about this but I haven't seen Rasmus enough to say if the kid has the talent he thinks he has or not

I have to say that I think Web is right about Max being right.

Re: Moz Speaks

It sounds more to me like Moz is trying to put out a fire by stroking Colby's ego. For a kid, two years removed from minor league ball, to act like he does is mind-boggling. Especially when he acts like the white version of Dangerman on the field.
