Ok, I'm really tired of the Bud Light "Dilly Dilly" commercials.

There's something deliciously ironic about the USA Network carrying the Hockey Night in Canada feed for the Minnesota-Winnipeg game.

No truth to the rumor MLB is thinking about changing the name of the seventh inning to "And Matheny will bring in Matt Bowman."

Re: 4/13 GC

Pretty big crowd tonight. I wonder if the Reds are doing one of their promotions and there's a Bob Wills concert after the game.

This game is about to be tied in around 30 seconds.

I was driving home when Bowman came in, and all I could think was Matheny had Hicks who has been nearly unhittable, Leone an established 8th inning guy, Holland and Norris all available, and he decided to rely on Matt Bowman.

Unless Votto does something stupid like getting picked off.

McLaughlin pretty much said the same thing, though in his usual I'm-not-second-guessing-the-manager-but-this-is-not-something-anyone-with-brains-would-do way.
Hey, someone has to speak up. Hrabosky has become so afraid of offending anyone on the team he's really not an analyst in the true sense of the word anymore.

Re: 4/13 GC

Interesting he's going to Norris. If he thinks Holland isn't ready to pitch in a 2-run game, would last night's game have been an opportunity to get him an inning?

Re: 4/13 GC

Flaherty had a subpar outing tonight by picked up the win.  Redbirds won 9 to 3.  Crappy weather in Memphis but they played 9.  They are now 7 and 1.

I am serious when I say that they might do better in the NL Central than the team the Cards beat tonight.  Their starting rotation (Gant, Flaherty, Gomber, Poncedelon and Hudson) has to be more than a match for the Reds. And I think their outfield is at least better defensively.  (Mercado, O'Neill, A. Garcia, and Arozarena)

They are playing without Voit (since Apr. 5) and Bader.

This was my most confusing moment of the night.

Actually, I don’t disagree with you, and am serious when I say that they’d probably be as good or better than a half dozen teams in MLB this year. They might finish 3rd in the AL Central.
