Oniell is up...who goes down?
I guess pham tweeked his growing. Shocker that pham would get injured. I wonder if the corresponding move is putting pham on the 10 day dl. Id like to see oneill play his way into the lineup permanently.

I hope I'm wrong, but everything I've seen and read about O'Neill screams Randal Grichuk v.2

Tommy Pham will undergo tests on his right groin Wednesday.Pham was nearly lifted in the ninth inning of Tuesday night's game against the Cubs because of the groin issue, but the Cardinals were short on outfielders so he finished out the 5-3 victory. This may be why top outfield prospect Tyler O'Neill is getting the call from Triple-A Memphis, though there's been no indication that Pham's groin injury is overly serious. He was dancing in the outfield following Tuesday's win at a frigid Wrigley Field. Apr 18 - 12:02 PMSource: Joe Trezza on Twitter

He's walked once in 52 plate appearances so far this year. But that 1.221 OPS is intriguing.

I hear ya. Like I said, I hope I'm wrong.
Speaking of Randal, after declaring himself free from the constraints of the Cardinals organization, Grichuk has treated his new franchise to a whopping .102 average (5 for 49) to start the season with 18 strikeouts in 16 games.

I think it would be good to see Pham go on the DL for 10 days and make sure he is o.k. before they risk losing him for the better part of a season. The MLB column I read makes it sould like they plan to go with one less pitcher. I wonder who that would be.
Ortiz is arguing that the Cards should try begging Holland to take a rehab assignment. Sounds great to me if they can do it. Right now he's useless in any game the Cards have a chance of winning unless it's a blow-out..

Apparently you are not the only one thinking that way.
If Goold is up to date, it sounds like they are waiting of further evaluation of Pham before making the final decision on the roster move.

As long as we're doing this, Diaz is also playing for the Toronto Blue Cardinals and is hitting .224 but with four homers, eight RBI and an .847 OPS.
Seung-hwan Oh has been a dependable 7th/8th inning guy for the Blue Cardinals. He has a 2.57 ERA in seven appearances, only giving up one home run.
Piscotty has raised his average nearly .100 in the past 10 days. He has nine hits in his last five games, with one home run and six RBI.
Magneuris Sierra is batting .128 with two stolen bases in 11 games in AAA New Orleans.
Matt Adams is batting .200 with two homers and four RBI in 30 plate appearances for the Nashnils.
Lynn has only made two starts for the Twins, due to the weather. He's 0-1 with a 5.00 ERA.
Socolovich pitched two scoreless innings in one game for the Braves before he was DFA'd and sent to AAA.
Siegrist was suspended by the Pirates after he refused an assignment to AAA. The Pirates reportedly tried to trade him to all 29 other teams, but there was no interest.
Jonathon Broxton bought a Krispy Kreme franchise in his home state of Georgia but it went out of business in less than two months because the owner was eating all the product (not really; I just made that up).
Juan Nicasio has made eight appearances for Seattle and has given up five earned runs, with three home runs, in eight innings.
Marco Gonzalez - who we all remember as the guy the Cardinals traded for O'Neill - is 1-1 with an 8.25 ERA in three starts. His WHIP is also higher than my grade point average at ASU.
Speaking of ASU, Leake has a 2-0 record with a 3.50 ERA in his first three starts this season with the Mariners.
And if y'all remember that Pujols guy, he singled last night to bring him within 11 hits of 3,000 for his career. I have no idea what kind of attention this is getting in St. Louis, but it's getting none where I live, and the Red Sox are in Anaheim this week. All of the chatter has been about Ohtani.

LOL. Probably. I should have lobbied the school to substitute my BAC for my GPA.

I feel like we’re back to the Aldon Smith thread.
