Weaver vs. Lauer

That's a big fly in this ballpark. Especially with the Marine Layer.

How is that not a balk? Lauer is stepping toward the plate and throwing to first.

I think we were in the fourth inning by this time last night.

Hey, you're supposed to take BP before the game!

These are some of the longest home runs I've seen in this ballpark. I remember Piazza hit one off Suppan that landed on the top floor of the Western Metal Supply building, and Pujols hit that famous (or infamous, if you're Jake Peavy) moonshot in the 2006 LDS after Piazza dropped the foul popup.

If Matheny can still say Gyorko isn't his best option at first base, then he's an asshole.

A 9-run lead might just be Bowman-proof.

Walk the number 7 hitter with a 6-run lead ...

I thinkypu could make a better case that he should be at 3rd.

I meant to write third.
Ross is pitching tonight for the Padres. If Matheny sits Gyorko and starts Carpenter under the rationale Carpenter is 3-for-5 lifetime against Ross, I'm going to scream.

As far as the total value of a player over the course of a season and without digging into all the acronyms that measure such thing, id argue that gyorko is better then the starters at 3 infield positions. Dejong is the one im not sure about.
