I only followed the game on-line today, but it looks like it was a nice comeback win.

Very nice. The home plate ump seemed to be using a damn tight strike zone, which hurt the Lizard King. But the bull pen (Tui, Hicks, and Norris) was outstanding. Except for Carpenter's hits, I don't reacall the Cards getting a solid hit on all game but at least they were making contact and balls were falling in.
Also, they have announced that Reyes will start Wednesday"s game. I assume that means Gant will be getting the bad news (for him) on Wednesday morning.
You'd have loved the Cardinal telecast. I think Thompson is trying to capture an all-time record for cliches and nonsense remarks ina nine inning game without a single interesting comment.
Gyroko did have a pretty solid pinch hit single.
Gomber pitched 6 innings of shut out ball for the Redbirds and Mike OReilly had two innings of shut out relief. They';re winning 4-0.
