Ok fellas, the kids finally broke me down and I’m taking them to the game tonight. If McLaughlin starts talking about an unruly fan with “Fire Matheny” written across the cheeks of his ass, Danny won’t necessarily have been drinking.

Lol, i have basicly no interest in going to a game. It just isnt convenient. I love baseball. Not necessarily what ive seen. If i lived closer i could see myself being a season ticket holder when i retire. However it simply isnt worth a 2.5hr drive to stl and getting back home at 1 or 2 am for one game....let alone multiple games a year.

Is that you wearing red?

Looks like the Adrian Gonzalez Era is over in Queens. It's one thing to be an insufferable asshole when you're batting, 300, and another when you're batting .241.

It is. How’d you guess?
But it’s a Rhodes shirt.

Carpenter would be hitting .425 if not for the shift.

Considering they got him for a dozen doughnuts and a season pass to Six Flags, well, yeah.

Guys in a Mets shirt sitting with a guy in an Arsenal shirt, and neither one of them is getting harassed in St. Louis. You Midwesterners are just way too nice.

I'm going to Quinnipiac later in the week. They have a "parent orientation" program that lasts two days. There better be a cooler filled with beer.

Hasn’t he been hitting about 1.050 with 40 homers since you commented on his lack of homers?

Against the Marlins, the Reds in Cincinnati and Jordan Lyles.

Throw a friggin strike.

Thats fucking unacceptable. I’d be a shitty GM, because I’d have Brebbia headed to Memphis before the game was over.

That would give us a chance to recall Holland.
BTW, he gave up three runs in the ninth inning tonight to take the loss. Blown save also.

I'd DFA Holland and cut my losses.

Have Cecil drive him to the airport and they can both get on the first plane they see. Hopefully it will land in a city with another team in the NL Central.
BTW, has the signing of the vaunted Mike Maddux as pitching coach resulted in any improved performances from last year, with the singular exception of Wacha, who seems to be pitching better mostly because he's re-gained command of his changeup?
I mean, I realize Maddux is providing a valuable service when he goes out to the mound and starts massaging the pitcher's shoulders, but certainly there has to be some other reason the Cardinals decided to upgrade from Lilliquist to Maddux.
