If Wong throws the ball instead of flipping it, it's an inning ending double play.

Seems likely.

I wonder if anyone on the coaching staff might want to suggest to Pham that he might want to stop trying to pull pitches on the outer third of the plate. But Pham is such a great player now that he probably doesn't need advice.

Think how much he could help Seattle.

Do you think Bader could have caught that bloop that scored a run in the second?

Fowler may be hitting .170, but he's had some good at bats tonight.

If Tommy Pham couldn't catch it, it was uncatchable.

I think that theory was just disproven.

Mags, I hope you're not watching the College World Series game.

Yes, and it was as routine as it gets.

For an Arkansas fan, this CWS game had all of the feeling of game 6 of the 1985 World Series -- if you were a Cardinal fan.

I don't know why ESPN has its cameras trained on Arkansas' second baseman. That foul ball should have been caught by the right fielder.

I agree but it depends on who calls for it. The second baseman was too aggressive and the right fielder wasn’t aggressive enough.
Also, the manager choked. He should have had someone ready and pulled the pitcher as soon as the game was tied.

Well that was brutal.

BTW, Memphis lost 9-8 tonight. But Wisdom, O’Neill, and Voit each homered for the second night in a row.

I'd imagine he'll say he wanted to go with his best relief pitcher. I don't know how you come back and win tomorrow night after a loss like that. I'll be really impressed if they do.
