Huh?!? Bernie can actually be a reporter sometimes

and in this case he found a very diplomatic way to say that Luhnow is getting his wings clipped.

But I've believed it's too much to ask one man to handle all of these things. Luhnow has been spread too thin. He's a hard worker, but how can one guy supervise two huge operations and be 100 percent on top of it all?

It is an interesting cluster of words by Bernie.

Yeah, these players probably have a lot of girlfriends.

Maybe that is what Bernie was getting at when he said:

Luhnow has also established the Cardinals' presence in the Dominican Republic

Re: Huh?!? Bernie can actually be a reporter sometimes

Joe Strauss had a couple of interesting Tweets on this topic:

"Am hearing Cardinals' front-office terrain not done shifting. Should be an interesting few weeks."

"It looks more and more likely TLR is returning in '11, though org. insists Luhnow move not made to appease TLR and staff."

"In fairness to J. Luhnow, it's difficult to see how one executive can call shots on player development AND scouting. It ain't 1986."

So Strauss thinks TLR is returning.  Intersting.  Can't imagine TLR returns to manage 6 players making $85M and 19 roster fillers.

I figured TLR was done and I was kind of wishing for him the leave.  Something needs to change and freshing things up.

Luhnow has been in charge of the Cardinals' Latin American program since 2004.  It's now 2010.  Here's a list of the players who have made the major league roster from Luhnow's Latin American program:

I think Albert's been sandbagging us with the misspelled words and grammatical idiosyncrasies.

My hunch is that anyone in PR would know that issuing denials is the preferred guerilla tactic for explaining yourself.

I wonder if all this (i.e. front office moves not complete) is meant to say, "If Luhnow didn't read this as a request to move along before, we are making it more plain now.  GO!"

I'm not even sure that would be a good thing, I really have nothing upon which to judge his value to the organization, but those seem like an awfully pregnant series of tweets.
