If my name was Ian Happ, I'd sue my parents for trying to make me a douchebag.

Re: 7/19

If you only knew Alex Rodriguez from listening to ESPN broadcasts, you would never think he played baseball.

Mendoza just got in a "riseball" reference. Does Stanford not teach the law of gravity?

Are you suggesting a rise ball can’t rise?

Not on this planet, anyway.

Physics, as tested on this planet, suggests otherwise.

Re: 7/19

I'd ask which game Rodriguez is watching, but this is the only one being played tonight.

Isn't "German physics" one of them oxymorons, like "French humor" and "British cuisine?"

Can you please get fucking Bowman out of the game before someone gets killed by a line drive?

ARod also said he didn’t use steroids.

I’m calling it now. The Cardinals go 2-6 in these 8 games against the Cubs.

Everything he said when he broke down Carpenter's fielder's choice was incorrect. Rizzo didn't resemble Keith Hernandez in any way, shape or fashion when the ball happened to land in his glove, Russell's throw didn't carom off Martinez and it was nowhere close to being caught by Wilson. Other than that, he was spot on.

A freebie for you, Artie: If you ever write a baseball-related work of fiction, one of your characters should be named "Huck Feyward".

You're welcome.

You will be in the foreword. I was going to write about the haplessness of the 2018 St. Louis Cardinals, but that would be non-fiction.
