Bader took off for second when he saw Polanco's throw was going to sail over the cutoff man, which is usually the right move. But the throw was easy for Diaz to handle and he was able to make a quick throw that made Bader retreat for first. Wong took off and was out by about five feet.
Hrabosky made a big deal about Wong looking back over his shoulder before he got to third, but it was clear he wasn't going to try to score anyway. The worst mistake on the play was Wong sliding head first into home. I have no idea why players still do that.
