Let me tell you—you can bitch all you want about McLaughlin and anyone on the list of color commentators who work with him—but until you’ve listened to Ricky Horton on the radio, you don’t know dreadful.

I was stuck in the car listening to the game. Horton gets into a half inning discussion with himself over the phrase “cat and mouse game.”  He postulated that the cat would likely be the pitcher, but since the cat has a weapon (its claws), should the batter be the cat? What role does the catcher, who is assisting the pitcher, play in the game?  Are the baserunners other mice?

It’s a good thing southeastern Missouri is flat. If I could have found one, I may have driven into or off a cliff.
