Got tickets from a friend I occasionally send work to. I know it’s early, but so much for the idea the City is energized by the recent play. Place is easily half empty

We’re sitting in the 13th row behind the Brewers dugout. After Martinez’s double, a Brewers fan was screaming at their dugout that Molina missed 2nd. Now he’s screaming at the dugout that they spotted the Cardinals 2 runs by not listening to him. 😂😂😂

The Cardinals are a much better team with Bader playing every day.

I envy you not having to listen to Brad Thompson.

I'll bet that's not going to get annoying as the night goes along.

With the exception of anyone who works for the Cincinnati Reds, Brad Thompson is the worst broadcaster I've ever heard.

He’s actually been pretty quiet since.
And it’s filled in some, but this place is still 30-40% empty

I’m not convinced 3 runs is going to be enough to win this game.

I’m not certain, but I think the big titted bimbo who sits behind home plate at Brewers game is sitting a few rows in front of me.

Friday night, 8th inning of a 3-0 game against the team the Cardinals are chasing for the wild card and several thousand people just went home.

Think Hicks might need a 10 day vacation.

Dan announced the attendance at ~41,000, but I think that might be the number of testicles.

I don’t think there’s 20,000 in here right now. There are several sections in the 3rd and 4th levels with fewer than 20 people. I don’t think I’ve ever seen it this empty for a night game.

Top of the 9th and more of them are leaving. I’m guessing no one cares that if we get 3 more puts the Cardinals are only a half-game out of the wild card.

My wife just pointed out that tonight was Pride Night at the Ballpark. That may have had an impact on the crowd. Can’t have the children hanging around them there gay people.

What is the deal with attendance always being 40,000. Do that many people not go to games they bought tickets for?

.5 game back of the wild card. Sort of exciting.
By this time tomorrow the cardinals could be a playoff team.

Yes. I know a few attorneys at our firm who bought season tickets for client entertainment. They’re constantly trying to unload tickets with mixed results.
Then you have the scalpers, who buy season tickets for purposes of selling them on Stubhub or some other website with plans on turning a profit. A lot of those go unused.
The tickets I got last night were from another lawyer friend. He couldn’t use them, not could he find anyone who wanted to use them until I said I’d take them. I suspect if I had said no, they’d have gone unused.
My buddy Greg is in a group where he buys 10 games worth. Last year he only went to 3 of the 10 games he bought because the team was so boring.

Maybe it is a diff mindset living 2.5hrs away. If i go to a game i plan around it. Like take off work, buy a hotel. I suppose if it was a matter of driving 30 minutes after work and get home before midnight it wouldnt be such a big deal to get tickets and not go. I havent been to a game in a long time tho. Has more to do with inconvenience and me being a homebody then it does quality of play tho.

Yeah, that’s a different situation. People who buy season tickets or ticket packages look at it as, the money is already spent, so whether I go or not doesn’t change that. If I go, I probably spend another $100 bucks on parking, concessions, etc. Is the weather comfortable or uncomfortable? Has something better come up? Would I rather just stay home? These aren’t people who bought tickets last week and then changed their mind, it’s people who bought tickets 6 months ago and found something better to do, and will go to the ballpark some other evening.
