    I dont like it.  I think it takes away ftom the game.  Get a sign from the bench or memorize the info.  What next, a three ring binder every player takes to the field.  I know qbs have charts on their wrist but this isnt football, thank god.

    I can understand why West did it because I remember all the controversies about pitchers accused of having gobs of Vaseline (or whatever) stashed somewhere on their person. Also agree they should find a slicker way of communicating that info than having players whip out Cliff Notes for every batter. But since it came against the Cubs I'll make an exception and say West was wrong.

    I don't really care either way, but if the umpires are going to confiscate cheat sheets from pitchers, they ought to confiscate them from the outfielders, too.
