Looking forward to tonights game. Love this time of year when it all seems to matter more.

Tonight's game is also on ESPN. Should I listen to Fox Sports Midwest's announcers or Rick Sutcliffe talk about the Cubs for three hours during a Cardinals/Braves game? Hmmm ...

I despised it from first hearing/viewing.
One of my most disliked songs from my youth was Lavender Blue.

I dont think you can telegraph the squeeze like that. It needed to be more of a suprise. Try it once and then if it doesnt work just hit.

Looks like the cubs have their own bullpen issues

Did I hear right? The sprinklers went on in the middle of the game?

That song sucks. There was a brief period in the early '70s when radio was dominated by similarly-wimpy pablum like "Run, Joey, Run," "The Night Chicago Died," and "Seasons in the Sun," but the first song I really, really hated was "Miss You" by the Rolling Stones.

I'm sure it was a coincidence, then.

Imagine Brandon Morrow getting hurt.

If nothing else, this season will be remembered for the emergence of Kolten Wong as an everyday second baseman.

Hicks is a much more effective pitcher at 99 mph than he is at 104.

12 pitches for hicks. Id run him back out for another inning. He will get the day off tomorrow and they dont play thursday. However, if he gets another 12 pitches under his belt and looks shaky id be quick to pull him.

Whenever I think of Columbus, I always think of Ali McGraw running naked through the woods.
Of course whenever I think of Phoenix, I often think of Ali McGraw running naked through the woods.

They won the PCL but lost the 1 game playoff against the International League champ (Durham).

It really was. I think if I were Freeman, I would have thrown another split at 0-2 instead of trying to waste as fastball.
