Explains why the Cardinals didn't bite.  They can't afford a contract of that size.

Maybe they are hoping that Schrock will bounce back and fill about the same role that Descalso would.  I doubt if his D would measure up, however.

Maybe, but Schrock isn’t on the 40-man, and they seem to avoid adding guys if they can hold off on starting their service time clock.

You'll get to see him about 19 times a year.  He just signed with the Cubs.

This is disappointing news.

The guaranteed money is about what they make in profit from Ballpark Village in a weekend series, right?

Does Arozarena play any infield, or is he strictly an outfielder?

Re: 2019

I wonder how the deal with cuba and the mlb will effect teams roster.  I would think there is a lot of mlb ready talent in that country.  Maybe not middle of the order batts or ace pitchers but there is certainly a lot of roster fillers.

Make it more difficult to attain access to a medium that's on life support anyway. Great way to run a business.

Maybe it is just my pos phone but flipping through the topics is damn near impossible.  In general id just perfer not having to flip to new screens.  Put everything on one page.  And i hate videos.  If i want to watch tv, i got one of those.  The only videos played on my phone will be pornography.

Did anyone else know the Cardinals waived Greg Garcia and he signed with the Padres?

Rosenthal reporting the Cardinals are close to signing Andrew Miller.
Which may end the Brett Cecil era in St. Louis.

Re: 2019

Dodgers just unloaded Kemp, Puig and Wood to the Reds for Homer Bailey. It’s a pure salary dump for the Dodgers, who may end up releasing Bailey.

Speculation is they’re off-loading salary and opening up an OF spot for Harper.

I wondered who "Paige" was until I read the story. Bigtime salary dump!
