Re: 6/2 GC

If St. Louis is such a boring town, how come so many of these idiots came down from Chicago to spend the weekend there?

Hamels needs to yell expletives a little more.

The kid caught a good game, though, didn't he? It can't be easy handling, in order, Wainwright's curve, Hicks' gas and then Gant's changeup in your first effort.
The dad was a little too much though. I thought Hayes could have justifiably tried to stuff the mic up his nose.

Re: 6/2 GC

I missed the sweeping effort.  126 pitches by waino!  They better find him some extra rest before the next start because he will be rocked.

Great sweep.  I hope they keep there heads on to play the reds.  This is typically when the cards give back everything they gained.  Winning a series against a good team followed by a series with a bad team.

It looked like he was coming out of the game after Wong bailed him out of the seventh with that great catch off Rizzo, even though it wasn't great contact. And then after every batter in the eighth it felt like I was saying to myself "He's coming out now, right ...?"

The Reds are playing pretty well, and yes, this would be the type of series where the Cardinals cough up whatever momentum they have going from the weekend.

Re: 6/2 GC

Imo it would be a sacrifice to pitch waino on just 5 days rest after throwing that many pitches.  They need to work in a spot start.

They're off today.  His next start isn't scheduled until Saturday.

Well thats better than i imagined.  Still, bet her doesnt make it out of the 4th.

126 pitches, 8 inning and a shut out is the equivalent to a no hitter at this point in his career.
