    The only rationale you can make for sending him is there were two outs, but you had a pitcher running - poorly, by the way. With two outs why is he looking over his shoulder to see if the ball was caught? - and you had Goldschmidt on deck.

    Goldschmidt is batting under .200 for june.  I would probably more confident in any hitter on the roster besides those two at this moment.
