    I can't deal with Thompson tonight. Opting instead for the relatively cliche-free Marlins version of the broadcast.

    First time I've seen a guy reach second on a bunt without an error involved.

    I'm probably a dick for saying it, but Carson Kelly's OPS is better than that of anyone on the Cardinals' current roster.

    But if you've watched the Cardinals broadcasts for the past three weeks, you know Goldchuk is about to break out of his slump any day now.

    I'm glad you reminded me. It's not as bad having traded Kelly (along with Weaver and...whoever) for someone of Goldschmidt's caliber. I've gotten used to these moves being easily second-guessed failures.

    I don’t have an issue with the Goldschmidt trade or signing.

    If there’s a move it looks like they might regret it’s trading Mercado. Someone decided Bader was the guy to keep over Mercado and it looks like whoever that was may have got it wrong.
