Reminiscent of Darryl Kile. Always sad when something like this happens.

It seemed to me the Angels have had a rash of active player deaths, so I looked it up. The franchise has lost six active players since 1965. The Cardinals have had six deaths in their history.

Edit: Both numbers increase to seven if you add former players still active in pro ball when they died: Luis Valbuena and Jose Oliva.
