She cut up the limb herself? She clipped the smaller branches off the limb and that's what she's burning. The smoke is from the leaves. I have no idea what she's going to do with the limb. It looks like it's about 25-30 feet long. Guy down the street had a limb come down on a fence he put up at the beginning of the summer. He didn't seem happy.
The unfortunate thing is this is the first day in about a week that the daytime temperature wasn't higher than 90 - the storm pushed all the humidity out to sea - and we had the windows open earlier in the night. Now they're shut and we've got the AC cranking again.
We have a grain elevator up the road so having the windows open is a lost cause. All the grain dust in the air just makes everyones allergies flair.
But, im glad my neighbors burning doesnt set off my smoke detectors and that if a limb falls i can either cut it up w my chain saw or just use the neighbors tractor to drag it to the river.
I despise people to much to live any closer to them then i currently do.
Keep in mind it's illegal to burn leaves in this state unless you get a permit. Not that anyone from the town is going to enforce it at 9 p.m. on a Thursday, especially considering how many trees in town came down.

He finally tapped out on the biscuits, but I think it was more because they seemed a little stale and not because he’s full. In fact, he’s at the fridge right now looking for dessert.

Burning leaves is annoying. I do it some if the wind is right so that it doesnt smoking everyone out. That is usually on my garden, they are dry and thinly scattered so they burn. It pisses me off in the fall when everyone decides to burn leaves some still evening and floods the town with lingering smoke. Ive seen it litterally look like a fog. We have a dump site. Haul that shit off.
