Why did dakota go out so early. I tuned in the last couple innings.

They pinch hit for him in the fourth because they weren't doing much with Archer. Martinez struck out with two men on base.

Yes, and if you go to the Cardinals website, the headline is “Schildt’s risky move pays off,” despite the fact that Martinez struck out and the winning rally had nothing to do with Schildt’s decision.
