I know there’s no point in beating a dead horse, but this team could’ve been dangerous if the front office had gone and acquired a pitcher so Wainwright and Wacha weren’t starting 2 of every 5 games.

They are neck and neck with the cubs. It is what would have secured them the division. Secured the division, kept them out of a one game playoff and gave them home field against the cubs in round one of the playoffs. Cubs have sucked on the road.

I'm guessing one reason they didn't is that it would highlight how they'd overestimated and/or squandered the organization's "wealth of young pitching talent" the last few years.
